The activities like ‘Story Telling’ provide students the platform for self-expression and prepare them for speaking out in public with confidence and conviction.

Keeping this in mind, English Story Telling Competition was conducted for Grade 1st and 2nd on 23rd June 2017. Students were prepared accordingly and presented their story with suitable props.

Every story recited was with a moral. Students were judged on the basis of presentation, theme, tone and concept. It was a successful event and three students from both the grades were selected as winners.


The Principal Parents Interaction Meet for the Primary Section (I – V) was held on Saturday, 24th June 2017. The interaction was scheduled as per class wise slots and specific time was allotted for the same. The remarkable attendance of the parents was overwhelming.

Mrs. Ashwini Kakde, the Primary Coordinator gave a brief introduction and welcomed the parents for the academic session 2017-2018.

An introduction about the Founder Secretary Prof.T.J.Sawant with the vision and mission of the institution was given by the Principal, Mrs.Anuya Salve. She also briefed the parents regarding the X and XII CBSE Board results of 2016 – 2017 batch.

The salient features of the primary section related to learning methodology, learner centric, learner modalities, real world application, interdisciplinary learning, preparation for life and competition with self were briefed to the parents.

The code of conduct for students related to discipline, absenteeism and behaviour were stressed upon.The new evaluation system for the academic year 2017 – 2018 was explained in detail to the parents.

The code of conduct for parents related to the performance in academics, extra-curricular activities and personal health issue of the child were also mentioned where parents are expected to extend their cooperation.

The Principal stressed on the struggles faced by the school regarding fee collection, rude communication with teachers and untimely calls by parents for minor issues to the authorities.

The core purpose of establishing PTA Committee for the academic session 2017 – 2018 was explained to the parents.Interested parents were asked to give their nominations to the class teachers immediately after the presentation. All the class teachers of the primary section introduced themselves. The orientation program concluded with parents having further discussion with class teachers.

Aashadi Wari Celebration

On 3rd July 2017, the festival of ‘Ashadhi Ekadashi’ was celebrated with great enthusiasm by the VI – XII students of Prodigy Public School in the school premises. Students along with the teachers made a beautiful ‘Palakhi’ adorned with fresh flowers and paper ornaments.

All the students were attired in traditional costumes and carried the ‘Palkh’ in a procession all over the school premises. Religious chants reverberated as the students along withtheir teachers carried the Palkhi.

All the teachers & non-teaching staff members were enchanted by the enthusiasm of the students and the atmosphere was filled with gaiety and spirituality. The procession ended with the distribution of Prasad to all. This celebration encouraged the students to participate in the rich cultural traditions of our country and know more about their heritage.


The Spell Bee Competition for classes I – V was held on 08-JULY-2017 aimed at creating awareness of the possibilities of using varied words in oral and written expression and to add words to the active vocabulary of students. A thorough orientation was done by the English teachers before the event in the format of the competition. Performance of the students was rated on the basis of the number of correct words spelt. Competition was conducted in two rounds: 1st round- written and 2nd round (final round) – oral. It was a successful event and three students from each grade were selected as winners.
